Police Uncover Another Drug Ring: Several Kilograms of Heroin and Firearms Discovered

The Main Directorate of Criminal Police's Drug Trafficking Prevention Division, alongside investigators from the Central and Norq-Marash administrative regions, acted on operational data regarding illegal drug trafficking and apprehended a 36-year-old man residing in Yerevan on suspicion of drug acquisition, possession, and distribution. During a personal search, over 9 grams of heroin was found on him.

As a result of operational-search measures and investigatory actions, it was revealed that the detained individual had acquired the heroin from a 44-year-old man also residing in the capital, who was subsequently located. A search of his residence yielded more than 9 grams of heroin.

The operational-search measures and investigatory actions continued, leading to the identification of the 44-year-old's supplier, a 53-year-old man registered in the Armavir province. He was also located and taken into custody. A search of his person and vehicle uncovered various weights of substances resembling heroin and marijuana.

As part of the same criminal case, a search was conducted at his brother's residence, where more than 16 grams of a substance resembling marijuana was found, and 935 grams of heroin were discovered in the yard.

During ongoing efforts related to the same criminal case, the 53-year-old man presented law enforcement with 1 kilogram and 471 grams of heroin, which was located near a speed camera on Shiraz street in Yerevan.

Further operational-search measures and investigatory actions led authorities to learn that the 53-year-old man had acquired the heroin from a 35-year-old man residing in Yerevan, who was also located. On the roof of his house in Norq-Marash, 1 kilogram and 700 grams of heroin were found, as well as a revolver, ammunition, and a switchblade knife.
