Parents of Applicants to Present Deadline to Minister of Education
They responded that they would not be accepted here. I believe that at this moment, they are not taking this issue seriously. This was stated by one of the participants of the protest action by parents of applicants who were not admitted to universities, speaking to reporters near the government building today.
He noted that they wanted to bring the issue to the attention of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, but were told that the staff had been informed and that they could not be received.
The participant stated, "We will transition to another form of struggle, because we are right. We will sue the Minister of Education and the relevant officials of the State Committee for the Protection of Children, who did not present the regulations to us properly. We have drafted a letter, which we will present to the Minister of Education, and based on the letter, we will present our final demands with a deadline. If the issue is not resolved within that period, we will definitely sue him. Araik Harutyunyan has no right to hold the position of Minister of Education; it is shameful for him."
He added, "I didn't imagine that the Prime Minister would not meet with us, as we believed that coming here at least one person would be received, and a decision would be made from his side to resolve this issue. During the revolution, when the hats had 'With Courage' written on them, that courage is in our souls; we were born with that courage, we have lived with it, and we will continue to live with it."
