Our Literature Seems to Be Going Somewhere - Ashot Pashinyan
The son of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, Ashot Pashinyan, has shared a post from user Seyran Grigoryan on his Facebook page regarding the Armenian language and literature curriculum presented by the Ministry of Education and Science. The post states:
“The authors of the new curriculum for the ‘Literature’ class, which seems irrelevant, have decided that the 12th-grade students of Armenian schools should read and analyze the works of contemporary vulgar writer Armen Ohanyan instead of Narayev’s ‘Book of Lamentations.’ Enjoy this rubbish, dear children.”
Ashot Pashinyan also made a comment alongside the post, stating: “Our literature seems to be going somewhere... In this created space, ‘rubbish’ is probably a fact. Well, let’s agree, who isn’t being foolish today...”
