BHK Surprised by Bagratyan's Decision

As reported, National Assembly BHK faction member Sergey Bagratyan is leaving the faction.

BHK faction secretary Arman Abovyan stated in an interview with «A1+» that Bagratyan's decision was a surprise to them, and he has no information regarding the reasons. He has not spoken to his colleague and urged anyone wanting to know the reason for leaving the faction to address Bagratyan directly: “I can confidently say that there has been no conflict or discussions on this matter. This issue has not been discussed at all. I am convinced that no one in our faction is aware of the reasons because we have a quite close atmosphere, and we discuss all issues together. The best approach would be to ask Mr. Bagratyan.”

BHK faction member Iveta Tonoyan stated that she cannot comment on Bagratyan's decision: “I cannot imagine what motives lie behind Mr. Bagratyan's decision; I do not have any information about such developments.”

It is noteworthy that the National Assembly has announced that MP Sergey Bagratyan informed the Assembly president through his letter that, guided by point 9 of part 3 of the constitutional law on the “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly,” he is leaving the “Prosperous Armenia” faction.
