55 Patients Infected with Coronavirus at Gyumri Infectious Disease Hospital

As of July 23 at 11:30 AM, there are 55 patients being treated for coronavirus at the Gyumri Infectious Disease Hospital, 54 of whom are residents of the Shirak province.

Since March 1, a total of 6,919 samples have been collected in healthcare facilities of the Shirak province and the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. From May 12 to July 22, 5,565 samples were tested in Gyumri, and on July 22, 26 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed.

Currently, there are 982 citizens in home self-isolation in the region, 306 of whom have tested positive for the virus without symptoms. Monitoring is being conducted by the primary healthcare sector.

A total of 422 residents of Shirak province have recovered from the virus and have been discharged from the hospital. Moreover, 48 patients have been transferred to the capital, and 35 deaths have been recorded.
