28-Year-Old Woman Steals Money Taking Advantage of Hostess's Distraction

On July 22, a 36-year-old resident of the village of Tsater in the Lori region reported to the Tumanyan Police Department that over the past few days, 400,000 drams had been stolen from the wardrobe in her living room, of which she found 15,000 drams near the house's stove.

As a result of the measures taken, hours after the report, police received information that the theft was committed by a 28-year-old woman from the victim’s village. She was summoned to the police department and confessed that on July 20, while at the victim's house and taking advantage of her distraction, she had stolen 400,000 drams from the living room wardrobe, part of which, 15,000 drams, she had thrown near the stove.

She returned part of the stolen money, 160,000 drams, and stated that she had spent the rest. The 28-year-old woman also mentioned that in February, March, and May, while in the same house, she had taken advantage of the hostess's distraction three more times, stealing 60,000, 40,000, and 30,000 drams from under the bed, respectively.

Preparations for legal action are underway.
