Don’t Let Azerbaijan Steal Your Money, Tankian Urges

“Don’t let Azerbaijan steal your money; visit DEFENDARMENIA.COM to sign the petition.” This call was made by Serj Tankian, the lead singer of the renowned band SOAD, on his Instagram page.

He pointed out that since 1992, over $1.5 billion of American taxpayer money has been spent to fund an autocratic government. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Defense provided Azerbaijan with $101 million in military aid in 2018 and 2019, which has been misappropriated and used for non-intended purposes, inciting regional wars, including attempts to invade Armenia.

A call is made to stop funding Azerbaijan by the Department of Defense and the International Development Agency.
