Accident Near Tavush Village: Renault Sedan Goes Off Road and Slides into a Ravine
On July 20, at 21:22, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a traffic accident near Tavush village. A firefighting and rescue unit from the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations' Tavush regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that a Renault Sedan had gone off the driving lane on the 2nd kilometer of the Berd-Ijevan highway and slid into a ravine. The identity of the driver has yet to be established.
Before rescuers arrived, individuals identified as Gurgen B. (born in 1977) and Vardan S. were pulled from the vehicle by local forces and were hospitalized at the Berd medical center. Rescuers disconnected the vehicle’s power and closed the gas valve.
