What Weather is Expected in the Coming Days
On July 20-21, an anomalously high temperature backdrop is expected in the Ararat and Armavir regions, the foothills of Aragatsotn, the valleys of Syunik, and in Yerevan, with daytime temperatures reaching +39…+41 degrees Celsius. During these days, high fire hazard conditions are anticipated in the valley and foothill areas of the republic. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is expected to be above normal. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In the territory of the Republic, dry weather is expected on the afternoon of July 20. On July 21 and 25, showers and thunderstorms will occur in some regions in the afternoon, while on July 22-24, rain and thunder are expected periodically across significant parts of the regions, with wind gusts of 20-25 m/s during thunderstorms. Hail is also expected in some locations. Winds will be from the southwest at 3-8 m/s. The air temperature will rise by 2-3 degrees on July 20 and will drop by 8-10 degrees on July 22-23.
In Yerevan, dry weather is expected on the afternoon of July 20 and on July 21, while rain and thunderstorms are anticipated intermittently on July 22-23, and from July 24-25 in the afternoon, with wind gusts of 17-20 m/s during thunderstorms.
