Soldiers Request to Halt Demobilizations: MoD Spokesperson

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Shushan Stepanyan, posted on her Facebook page:

“We have repeatedly witnessed the manifestations of patriotism from our soldiers. Today, our boys once again prove their unwavering dedication to the homeland and the people.

All conscripts eligible for demobilization from the 3rd Army Corps have collectively approached their command asking to suspend demobilizations and to allow them to continue serving alongside their comrades and commanders, as long as the victory has not been finalized and as long as the adversary harbors intentions of aggression.

Despite the Ministry of Defense's announcement stating that there is no need for voluntary enlistment and the armed forces of Armenia are honorably fulfilling their combat tasks, former soldiers who have already been demobilized, both in Armenia and Artsakh, especially from the military units where recent Azerbaijani armed incursions have been recorded, are reaching out to the territorial subdivisions of the recruitment and mobilization service (military commissariats). They express their willingness and determination to stand alongside our soldiers in their units and protect the country's borders.”
