Youngest of Six Children Injured in Shirak Region Accident is 9 Months Old; Five Have Been Discharged from Hospital

Six children were injured in a tragic accident that occurred today in the Shirak region. This was reported to NEWS.am by the Gyumri "Gyumri Mother and Child Austrian" hospital.

"We have admitted six children with injuries, five of whom have been discharged; only one girl, aged 7, remains in our care. She has sustained various injuries, but her life is not in danger. They were of different ages, with the youngest being only 9 months old," hospital representatives stated.

Earlier, we reported that around 7:00 PM, a 36-year-old resident of the Ashotsk region of Shirak, K. H., lost control of his VAZ-21099 vehicle on the 17 km stretch of the Gyumri-Bavra highway, between the villages of Toros and Ghukasavan, under still unknown circumstances. The vehicle veered off the road and rolled over several times, ending up in a field.

As a result of the accident, one of the passengers, 9-year-old Y. H., died at the scene, while six others were taken to the "Gyumri Mother and Child Austrian" hospital with bodily injuries.
