Son of Former Police Chief Wanted in 'Kyazh Ashot' Murder Case
A son of the former head of the police department combating thieves and crime lords is also wanted in connection with the notorious 'Kyazh Ashot' murder case in Yerevan.
According to Shamshyan.com, on July 18, a wanted notice was issued for Yerevan residents 29-year-old Andranik Mgoyan and 30-year-old Vardges Ayvazyan. They are wanted under Articles 38-104, part 2, points 6 and 7 of the RA Criminal Code (involvement in murder committed in a manner dangerous to many lives, by a group of individuals or organized crime group).
Andranik Mgoyan’s father, Arayik Mgoyan, was a former police officer with the rank of police colonel, who worked for many years in the Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the police and later in the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime (6th Division), where he was the head of the department combating thieves and crime lords.
It is worth noting that 28-year-old Ashot Petrosyan, known as 'Kyazh Ashot' in Shengavit, was murdered on June 9 of this year.
