120 Million 721 Thousand Drams Embezzled: New Revelations from the FFA and the Management of the Technical Center-Academy

The main department of the criminal police's fight against corruption and economic crimes has obtained operational data that has led to substantial findings regarding the embezzlement of funds between the former president of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) and the Technical Center-Academy of the federation.

According to reports from the Armenian police, service provision contracts were signed between a company owned by the former FFA president and the Technical Center-Academy for conducting training camps for various age groups from 2013 to 2018.

It has been revealed that the management of the Technical Center-Academy initially planned only certain training camps, but with a unified intent to embezzle significant amounts, they forged documents representing service contracts with the company owned by the former president of the FFA during the specified period. A total of 178 million 878 thousand drams was transferred to the mentioned company based on these contracts. Subsequently, performance acts were generated for services that were either inadequately provided or, in some cases, not provided at all, containing false information regarding the services rendered.

As a result of these illegal activities, 120 million 721 thousand drams were embezzled. A criminal case has been initiated in the main department of the criminal police's fight against corruption and economic crimes, which has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee.
