Provocation Targeting the National Interests of Armenia: ‘Lydian Armenia’ Issues Statement

‘Lydian Armenia’ has issued a statement. On July 14, 2020, ‘Lydian Armenia’ received an expert act regarding the "Marking Points in Nature," which once again confirms the fact of the invasion of areas under the legal possession of 'Lydian.' Based on this act, ‘Lydian’ has appealed to the Armenian police, demanding the immediate cessation of the invasion of areas legally held by the company, as stipulated in the Armenian government's decision 797-N of 2007, and to clear illegally stationed containers and individuals from the company’s territory.

Lessee’s legal lead Khoren Nasibyan commented on the occasion, stating, “As a result of two years of lawlessness, the Republic of Armenia has lost tens of millions of dollars, hundreds of people have emigrated, and the state's international reputation has suffered irreparable damage. Today, when the state and the Armenian soldier at the front need a strong state and a strong economy more than ever, the implementation and tolerance of lawlessness is equivalent to a provocation against the national interests of Armenia. We expect a prompt response from the relevant authorities and appropriate actions within the law.”

It should be noted that on April 10, 2019, the Administrative Court of Armenia had previously obligated the police to remove the invading individuals and their properties from 'Lydian's' territory.
