Azerbaijani Downed Drone Estimated at About $30 Million: Razm.info.am

The Armed Forces of Armenia have shot down an Azerbaijani Hermes-900 UAV today. A video of the downing has been published on the official YouTube channel of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, ‘Zinuzh Media’.

According to information from the Facebook page of Razm.info.am, this drone is a tactical large UAV valued at approximately $30 million, marking the first known downing of this type of UAV in the world.

The Hermes-900 is produced by the Israeli company Elbit Systems. In Azerbaijan, these drones are located deep in the rear and are under the control of the State Border Service (SBS) rather than the military.

This suggests that in the ongoing operations, the State Border Service is involved alongside the Azerbaijani military.
