Zurabishvili Expresses Regret Over Armed Incidents on Azerbaijan-Armenia Border
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, has expressed regret regarding the armed incidents that occurred on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border on July 12-13. In a statement, she stressed that as we all fight against the unprecedented enemy of the coronavirus pandemic, international solidarity and the preservation of global stability are of paramount importance.
She emphasized that peace and security in our region are crucial for both Georgia and our friendly countries, Azerbaijan and Armenia. The President hopes that timely measures will be taken to avoid further escalation of the situation through peaceful negotiations.
