The Opponent Suffers Significant Losses, Says Defense Minister
During a government emergency session, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan inquired with Defense Minister David Tonoyan about the events that transpired on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border yesterday and the current situation.
The Minister noted that yesterday a UAV approached our positions, and for unclear reasons, the soldiers moved towards our positions. Tonoyan clarified that the position is located within the territory of Armenia, right on our border.
“Since the movement was unexpected for our soldiers, they received instructions to call on the Azerbaijani soldiers to leave the area, taking into account their potential disorientation. They returned, after which shelling began again in the direction of the same position,” Tonoyan stated.
Tonoyan reported that all shelling is being targeted and neutralized, resulting in significant losses for the opponent.
