Dear Chief of Police, Are You Aware That Our Esteemed Police Officers Are Leaving Their Service Vehicles in Nature and Ruining Everyone's Leisure?
“Dear Chief of Police, are you aware that in Armenia, any kind of mischief and misconduct is being attributed to your esteemed name?” wrote Edgar Arakelyan, a deputy from the 'My Step' faction whose powers have been suspended, on his Facebook page.
“Are you aware that far away from settlements, in total desolation, deep in the gorges, our esteemed police officers are suddenly emerging from behind rocks in non-service vehicles? After isolating at home for four months and longing for fresh air, citizens are being fined for not wearing masks, ruining their entire holiday and driving them into extreme anxiety.
I urge the government, the National Assembly, or at least someone from the State of Emergency Command to respond: is this what the decision was made for? If they saw me and my family members in that same gorge, away from the settlement, but not in a vehicle, just peacefully walking in the grass without masks, would they have the right or any reason to fine us? Have we contributed in any way to the spread of the infection or displayed contempt for public order? Don’t you feel that you are supplying your loyal citizens with completely unreasonable reasons to direct their frustration towards you? And finally, when are you going to put an end to this circus?
