What Tree Species and Plants Have Been Planted in Yerevan? Hakob Karapetyan Provides Details

The press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, made a post on his Facebook page, informing that in the last three months, 18,500 bushes have been planted and added in Yerevan (13,385 flowering and 172 evergreen), along with 300,000 flowers (864 woody vines, 10,740 roses), 146 garden trees, and 20,000 square meters of lawn.

“The work has been carried out based on the principle of a long-flowering garden. Plant species that flower in all seasons of the year have been selected, which will bloom successively, ensuring that the city remains green all the time.

In addition to traditional plant species, the city has also introduced valuable garden forms of tree species such as Sakura, globe catalpa, redbud, succulent fig, and others. Greening is being carried out in all administrative districts of the city,” he wrote.
