Medical Documentation Confirming Illnesses Transferred to Police, Says Deputy Prime Minister

During today's government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Armenian Rescue Service Tigran Avinyan stated that citizens with severe health issues can be exempt from wearing masks only in open areas. He said, 'The decision was related to individuals with chronic respiratory diseases wearing masks. This has created certain problems, and therefore, after consulting with the Ministry of Health, it has been decided to exempt citizens with certain diseases from the mandatory mask requirement in open areas. Individuals with chronic respiratory diseases, asthma, bronchitis, and those with third and fourth functional class chronic heart failure can go without masks in public open spaces, provided they carry medical documentation confirming their illness. The formats for this documentation have been transferred to the police, so they will clearly understand what it entails.'
