Record Number of COVID-19 Infections Registered in the U.S. with 60,000 New Cases
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, the United States has registered a record number of new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, with 60,000 new cases.
The U.S. continues to lead the world in both the number of infections and deaths, with a total of 3,097,084 reported cases, of which 133,972 have resulted in death, while 1,354,863 have recovered. Currently, there are 1,608,249 active cases, with 15,371 individuals in extremely critical condition.
As of July 8 at 09:30, the total number of COVID-19 infections worldwide is 11,955,637, with 546,721 deaths and 6,902,360 recoveries. The number of active cases globally stands at 4,448,400, with 58,156 individuals, or 1%, classified as in extremely critical condition.
