Georgia to Allow Business Travelers from All Countries
In order to support economic activities in Georgia, business trips from all countries will be conducted without obstacles. According to News-Georgia, this was announced today at a press conference by the government spokesperson Irakli Chikovani.
Georgia is gradually opening its borders to international travelers, and it is already known which businesses will be the first to be allowed entry into the country.
After crossing the border, foreign business travelers will be required to either pay for a 14-day quarantine accommodation or undergo a PCR test for coronavirus detection every 72 hours, also at their own expense. The Georgian government believes this measure will assist the hotel sector, which is currently experiencing a downturn. It was noted that the costs of the 14-day quarantine and testing will be reasonable.
Paid quarantine and tests do not apply to residents of Germany, France, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, with whom Georgia is opening its borders without any conditions.
An electronic form that must be completed in advance by individuals wishing to visit Georgia will be available on the government website www.StopCoV.ge.
Furthermore, it is mentioned that Georgian citizens returning home after visiting EU countries will be required to undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine.
