For Countries That Haven't Opened Borders for Georgia, Current Regime Remains: What Restrictions Does Georgia Have

During today’s press briefing, the spokesperson for the Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Chikovani, explained how citizens from countries not included in the so-called 'Green List' or those subjected to various restrictions can enter Georgia. They will be allowed to enter only after undergoing a 14-day quarantine imposed by the Georgian authorities.

“For countries that haven't opened their borders for Georgia, the current regime remains in place. Citizens from countries that Georgia has placed in the so-called 'Green List' such as Germany, France, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, or those that have applied different types of restrictions, will be allowed to enter Georgia but must undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine at their own expense,” Chikovani stated.

According to the official, Georgia is also negotiating with other countries about opening borders. “Some countries, such as Italy, Cyprus, Iceland, and Slovenia, have expressed willingness to open their borders with specific restrictions for Georgian citizens. In particular, individuals arriving from these countries must undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine,” Irakli Chikovani added.
