‘Dear police commander, we are dying writing you letters’: Famous singer wants to come to Armenia with her family

‘Dear police commander, we are dying writing you letters, sending them, there is no place left that our letters haven’t been sent, please be so kind as to respond.’ This was stated by producer Arthur Galstyan on his Facebook page.

He specifically mentioned, ‘Is there not one of your employees who could find a couple of minutes to respond? You gave entry rights to 88 foreigners to take the entrance exams in Dilijan, even without a 14-day quarantine, but these wonderful kids, who have 2 houses in Armenia and have spent their summer and winter vacations in Armenia for 5 years, do they not have the right to receive entry permission? Moreover, they are ready not to leave their villa for 1 month. Moreover, they will present their health documents, and all have health insurance. How else should I write to you? What else can I say to you? Are you even human? Are you Armenian?

People are already buying their tickets for the umpteenth time to return to Armenia, hoping that this time the quarantine will end at last. And they are losing them. Are you truly genuine? Balkhim, will you now read our letters if there is anyone who is actually working in their office and not just on Facebook?’

Earlier, Luxembourg-Armenian singer Maria Dalia Van Marcke wrote on her page:

‘Dear Mr. Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, I hope this letter finds you in good health and safety. The borders of Armenia have been closed to us since March 2020, but we want to come home. Please, open the doors of Armenia for us, or give us the opportunity to come on health visas, which we can present. Please. I pray that Armenia will open its air borders. We are also Armenian. Armenia is our home. My family does not have Armenian citizenship, and we do not have family members in Armenia, but we have 3 million sisters and brothers in Armenia.

Our family has our 4 children’s Armenian godfather in Armenia. Since 2015, our family has been coming to Armenia every month, every summer in July-August. Our family holds property rights in Armenia for our homes and vehicles. We have our registered charity ‘Magic Armenians’ in Armenia and help underprivileged families. Our family has exciting projects to implement in Armenia for our nation. From Armenia to Artsakh, our family sings for our heroic soldiers, dedicating strength, love, and respect to them. My 4 children want to serve as soldiers in Armenia—1 girl, 3 boys. My grandfather died in Der-Jor, but our Iskenderian-Van Marcke family has kept our Armenian roots for 100 years in foreign lands and loneliness. We returned to Armenia in 2015. Now, what should I say to my 4 children? That in the case of Coronavirus, French, Lithuanian, and Russian doctors can come to Armenia, are they more valuable than our PATRIOTIC FAMILY?

I am also a Doctor of Coaching Psychology, and our nation also needs love and attention today as it needs hygiene in medicine, masks, and hand cleaning. For 5 years, I have devoted my entire knowledge and strength to the many wonderful families in Armenia facing mental hardships. Our humble family has also provided financial support to those families together with love and attention since 2015. It is crucial for all of us to return to our homeland to dedicate my mental strength to those wonderful families that need me greatly. Our family will never create a problem for the hospitals in Armenia. We are citizens of Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Belgium, and we all have our personal health insurances. If we fell ill, I give my maternal word that we would return to Luxembourg on the same day, using our means. We are a humble family living in foreign lands, and as a mother, I want to be able to raise and educate my children as Armenians without our presence in Armenia. We have always had these 2 months for summer vacations... There are very few Armenians living in Luxembourg. We are the largest Armenian family. There is no church. There is no Armenian school. I have placed all my strength, faith, and resources into Armenia since the day when Mr. Prime Minister Pashinyan liberated our country. Please do not cast us out; I beg you. Luxembourg is a small country and very rich. We are constantly tested for Coronavirus here. We can present our Health Passports. Thank God, until today, no one in our family has fallen ill. When we arrive at Zvartnots Airport, our family’s godfather, Mr. Arthur Galstyan, will take us immediately to our villa in Sevan, which is located in a very secluded area. We respect and will observe our 14-day quarantine in our villa. We highly respect all the statements of the Prime Minister. We have purchased plane tickets from July 16 to September 11, 2020. I plead, do not separate us from our homeland, dear patriotic family. Should you need clarification or have inquiries, please feel free to write or call me or Arthur Galstyan:

Arthur +374 91476632

Please open the doors; I beg you... WE ARE ALSO ARMENIANS!

Thank you very much.
