Armenian Association of Terrestrial Broadcasters Appeals to Minister Tigran Avinyan

The Armenian Association of Terrestrial Broadcasters has issued a statement regarding the initiation of administrative proceedings against several Armenian television companies and individual journalists by the government.

Expressing concern over these incidents, the association has reached out to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Tigran Avinyan, requesting a meeting with representatives of Armenian television companies to discuss the situation in detail and seek solutions.

“We note that while maintaining social distancing and continuously promoting the importance and necessity of wearing masks throughout our broadcasts, we are imposing the necessity for presenters to wear masks in almost empty production spaces, causing them physical and aesthetic discomfort,” the statement reads.
