Argishti Karamyan Appoints His Protégé to NSS Position

Ten days after being appointed as the Director of the National Security Service (NSS), Argishti Karamyan has appointed his protégé to a position within the NSS. According to Tert.am, Arthur Nahapetyan has been assigned as the head of the investigative department of the National Security Service.

It is noteworthy that Karamyan was the best man at Nahapetyan's wedding. Sources indicate that this is not the only controversial appointment made by Argishti Karamyan, which has sparked internal discontent.

Prior to this, Arthur Nahapetyan was appointed during Karamyan's tenure as the head of the social sector control department at the State Supervision Service. He has also served as an investigator at the Investigative Committee and as a prosecutor in Shirak, along with being the head of the first department of the Investigation Committee of the State Revenue Committee.
