March 1 Victims' Heirs Submit Petition to Constitutional Court
Attorney Tigran Yegoryan stated on his Facebook page: “Heirs of the 9 victims of March 1 have submitted applications and petitions to the Constitutional Court regarding the constitutional issue of Article 300.1 of the RA Criminal Code. This is in connection with the impossibility of participating in the proceedings of the joined case concerning the requests of judges David Grigoryan and defendant R. Kocharyan. Moreover, the impossibility of Judge Hrayr Tovmasyan's involvement has been supplemented by contacts with R. Kocharyan's defense attorney Aram Orbelian and the grounds for concealing that circumstance, as well as with Y. Khachaturov's defense attorney Mihran Poghosyan.
They are also seeking to grant the status of a third party entitled to participate in and/or present their position on their case, and to provide the materials of the case. I would like to remind you that the hearing of this case is scheduled for July 7, 2020, at 11:00 AM.”
