Incident at the Constitutional Court Involving Police
An incident has been recorded near the entrance of the Constitutional Court building today, July 3.
According to News.am, around 11:30 AM, Constitutional Court judge Hrant Nazaryan attempted to enter the court's premises.
His entry was obstructed by senior police officers. Notably, it is usually ordinary and junior police officers who maintain security at the Constitutional Court building, but today, for unclear reasons, senior officers were also on duty near the court, including Colonel Hrachya Zatikyan, the commander of the relevant police unit, who personally led the operation to prevent the Constitutional Court judge from entering the building.
Hrant Nazaryan requested to be provided with justifications or written documents regarding the prohibition of his lawful actions, which the police were unable to supply, citing an oral directive from their superiors.
