Mkhitaryan to Terminate Contract with Arsenal
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the midfielder for the Armenian national team and Arsenal, who is currently playing on loan for Roma, is likely to remain with the Italian team on a permanent basis. This has been reported by Armsport.
Yesterday, on June 30, the 'Giallorossi' announced that they have extended the Armenian footballer’s loan agreement until the summer of 2021. This coincides with the duration of Mkhitaryan’s contract with Arsenal.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Mkhitaryan will terminate his contract with the 'Gunners'. Mkhitaryan's agent, Mino Raiola, has been in negotiations with the club and has reached an agreement regarding the termination of the cooperation.
As a result, the player will transfer to Roma as a free agent, and the Giallorossi will not pay a transfer fee, aside from the amounts due to Raiola and Mkhitaryan himself.
Mkhitaryan joined Roma last summer. In the current season, the 31-year-old player has participated in 15 Serie A matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists.
