Imagine if Pro-Government Media Websites Were Hacked: It Took 3 Days for the NSS to Respond to 'Golos Armenia' Request, Tigran Mirzoyan
Days ago, we reported that the website of the 'Golos Armenia' newspaper was hacked. The newspaper's reporter Tigran Mirzoyan has shared details about the incident on his Facebook page.
“Imagine if the website of 'Haykakan Zhamanak' or other pro-government media were hacked, what kind of outcry, screams, and threats would come from the lips of Nikol Pashinyan? Four days ago, the 'Golos Armenia' website was subjected to a hacker attack, and about 20 years of data was destroyed. The newspaper's editor Flora Nakashkaryan told ‘Iravunk’ that on the same day, they reported it to the NSS, but received a call three days later suggesting that the police should handle the investigation,” he noted.
It turns out that the NSS needed 3 days to understand that the police should handle this matter. Flora Nakashkaryan remarked that this morning, the police also visited their premises. Meanwhile, the team is working actively to recover certain elements, and they are also working in the direction of others.
When asked if there are suspects, Flora Nakashkaryan mentioned that they are checking the connections that have been made in relation to the recent alerts, local themes, and potential “triggers” from both inside and outside. Despite the ongoing investigations, Nakashkaryan remains hopeful for a timely response from the authorities,” the reporter wrote.
Additionally, it is noted that AuroraNews has learned that the editor of the newspaper Flora Nakashkaryan is currently at the police station.
