Citizen Who Died from Coronavirus in Georgia Was from Javakheti, Recently Returned from Armenia
A man, who passed away from coronavirus in Georgia two days ago, was from the village of Abuli in the Akhalkalaki region. This is reported by Aliq.ge.
He had returned to Georgia just days prior and was immediately placed in quarantine. At the time of his return, he was reportedly feeling well. The 82-year-old resident was hospitalized on June 14 due to heart failure and high blood pressure, first at a medical center in Rustavi, and subsequently transferred in extremely critical condition to a hospital in Mtskheta after being diagnosed.
During this time, he was connected to a ventilator. His death was recorded yesterday at 12:40 PM at the Mtskheta medical center. According to attending physicians, the man had several chronic underlying conditions including arrhythmia, heart failure, and renal failure.
The man has been laid to rest in his native village. According to reports, he returned from Armenia with his wife, who is currently in Mtskheta hospital. The condition of the 84-year-old woman is stable but is considered risky due to various underlying health issues.
