Numerous Vehicles Robbed in the Capital Over a Few Days

In recent days, incidents of personal property theft have continued in Yerevan, including the robbery of vehicles and the theft of license plates. As reported by shamshyan.com, on June 24, a resident of Tsarav Aghbyur Street, Ernst G., approached the New Nork Police Department and reported that an unknown person or persons had stolen the headlights from his Volkswagen car parked in the building's yard.

On the same day, Mihran M., a resident of Tavush province, informed the Kanaker-Zeytun Police Department that between the hours of 14:00 and 14:50, an unknown individual or individuals had broken the glass door of his parked Toyota car near Victory Park and stolen a large sum of Armenian drams and US dollars from his bag inside the vehicle. According to G. Shamshyan's report, Mihran M. is a lieutenant colonel currently studying at the academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation stationed in Armenia.

Yesterday, on June 24, Karen H., a resident of Yerevan, reported to the Arabkir Police Department that unknown persons had stolen the front headlights from his Porsche Cayenne parked in the yard of his residence on Mamigonian Street.

On June 24, Vahan A., residing on Svachyan Street, contacted the Malatya Police Department, stating that over the past two days, an unknown person or persons had utilized technical means to steal the side mirrors and front plastic corner pieces from his parked Mercedes car in the building's yard.

On June 23, Vahagn A. reported to the Erebuni Police Department that between 20:00 on June 22 and 11:30 on June 23, an unknown individual or individuals had stolen the headlights from his father's BMW X5, which was parked in emergency condition on Glinka Street.

On June 22, Areg Y., a resident of Sayat Nova Avenue, informed the central police department that one day prior, an unknown individual or individuals had broken the window of his parked Mercedes car at 24 Saryan Street, stealing his acquaintance's passport and bank cards from inside.

On June 21, Arkadi M. reported to the Mashtots Police Department that between 11:30 on June 20 and 09:30 on June 21, an unknown individual or individuals, utilizing technical means, had stolen the electric battery from his Opel parked in the yard of their building in the 16th district. According to G. Shamshyan, Arkadi M. works in the judicial enforcement service.

On June 21, Ashot Ts. contacted the Arabkir Police Department, reporting that unknown individuals had stolen the side mirrors from his Mercedes parked at his residence on Komitas Avenue.

Samuel M. reached out to the Malatya Police Department on June 21 to report that unknown individuals had stolen the license plates from his Opel Zafira parked in the yard of their building on Sherami Street. Varujan S., a resident of Ohanov Street, also reported to the same police department that two electric motors from his Renault car parked at Building 66 on the mentioned street had been stolen on June 21.

On June 21, Ani V. notified the Shengavit Police Department that within a single day, unknown individuals had stolen the license plates from her Nissan Tiida parked in the yard of their building on Yeghegnouti Street.

According to G. Shamshyan, Ani V. works at Sil Concern LLC. On June 23, Karen J., residing on Mantashyan Street, reported to the Shengavit Police Department that on the same day, unknown individuals had stolen the spare tire valve and part from the Mercedes parked in their building's yard.

Investigation materials are being prepared in connection with all reported thefts in the local police departments. The police are working to identify the elusive robbers. A photojournalist has also reported similar thefts occurring in the regions, for which separate information will be published.
