Three Young Men Detained on Suspicion of Assaulting 28-Year-Old Woman
An extraordinary incident has occurred in Yerevan: three men have been detained on charges of assaulting a young woman on Bagratuniats Street. According to SHAMSHYAN.com, at around 12:30, officers from the criminal investigation and community police departments of the Shengavit police station, along with servicemen from the 5th battalion of the patrol police of Yerevan, apprehended the three individuals.
Sources indicate that the Shengavit police received information concerning cries for help from a woman's voice coming from one of the buildings on Bagratuniats Street. Upon arriving at the scene, the police detained 30-year-old Artak Mkrtchyan, a resident of Yerevan, 28-year-old Gurgin Avetisyan from Maralik, and 28-year-old Arthur Sargsyan from Yeghegnadzor on suspicion of inflicting bodily harm.
It has been revealed that they had an argument with 28-year-old Kristina Davtyan, during which her boyfriend, A. Mkrtchyan, struck her on various parts of her body with his hands and feet, causing injuries. The police are preparing materials regarding the incident. K. Davtyan has been referred for a forensic medical examination, while the detainees were released after providing explanations about the incident.
