Armenia to Provide 12.6 Billion AMD Budget Loan to Artsakh Government in First Half of 2020

A budget loan of 12,600,000,000 AMD has been announced. This information was shared by the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, on his Facebook page.

The full statement is as follows:

“Honorable Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia,

I express my deep gratitude to you and the Government of Armenia for the executive's decision made today, in accordance with which a budget loan amounting to 12,600,000,000 AMD will be provided to the Government of the Republic of Artsakh from the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia in the first half of 2020, with the aim of supporting the economy of Artsakh.

I assure you that the economy of Artsakh is in dire need of this funding, especially in overcoming the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic. This amount will be fully allocated to addressing socio-economic challenges.

This decision is yet another example of the consistent implementation of the commitments undertaken by the authorities of the Republic of Armenia regarding the security and development of the population of Artsakh.”
