Mother and Son in Critical Condition Due to Coronavirus Have Recovered

The Deputy Director for General and Operative Issues at the Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics, Karen Poghosyan, posted on Facebook to announce that two more patients who were admitted in critical condition have been discharged from the center: a mother and her son.

The doctor presented their case: "Patient N. A., 64 years old: Admitted to the center's intensive care unit on May 25, 2020, with a positive Covid-19 test, bilateral pneumonia, and third-degree respiratory failure, presenting with an SpO2 of 75% at the time of admission. Accompanied by glaucoma and blindness. Son K. A., 36 years old: Positive Covid-19 test, bilateral pneumonia, and third-degree respiratory failure, presenting with an SpO2 of 65% at the time of admission. Accompanied by CP (cerebral palsy) and advanced, widespread pressure sores with necrotic surface. Both patients were immobile. K. A. did not respond to medical staff and had been bedridden for a long time. Both patients were discharged in improved condition."

"Thanks to the team. Covid-19 is not a death sentence, even with the presence of severe comorbidities. P.S. We fight together," the doctor wrote.
