VIDEO: Rescuers Save Citizens Trapped in Mudslides

On June 17, at 22:07, the Crisis Management National Center of Armenia was alerted that vehicles were trapped in mudslides at the intersection of Tumanyan and Zoravar Andranik streets in Alaverdi. Citizens required the assistance of rescuers to be extricated from the vehicles.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Lori regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. Rescuers managed to pull five citizens from two vehicles trapped in the mud. They temporarily halted traffic at the intersection of Tumanyan and Zoravar Andranik streets and, with the help of a car towing service, removed the vehicles from the water.
