I Have Said That It Is Not Possible to Legally Deprive Me of My Freedom, as I Have Not Done Anything Illegal: Vanetsyan

In the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan court, a petition to imprison Gagik Tsarukyan is set to be examined. Arthur Vanetsyan is also present there. In a conversation with reporters, he stated that the case has political implications and that there is an attempt to silence political opponents. "The Attorney General failed to convince in any way that the charges are substantiated," he said.

Speaking about his relationship with Gagik Tsarukyan, Vanetsyan declared that he has had and continues to have a very good relationship with him. Regarding the likelihood of a criminal case being initiated against him and whether he has any fears in this regard, Vanetsyan noted that recent illegal and politically motivated persecutions in Armenia could give reason to believe that actions might be taken against him as well. "I have said that it is not possible to legally deprive me of my freedom, as I have not done anything illegal," he emphasized.
