Director of the Soldiers' Insurance Foundation Responds to Urikhanyan's Statement

The Executive Director of the Soldiers' Insurance Foundation, Varuzhan Avetikyann, has responded to the statement made by independent MP Tigran Urikhanyan, claiming that the foundation has sued him for saying, "obligations amounting to 1.9 billion drams have not been fulfilled."

In an interview with Armenpress, Avetikyann stated that Urikhanyan has tarnished the reputation, honor, and dignity of the Foundation with certain entries and statements. "The foundation has asked the court to obligate Mr. Urikhanyan to refute all allegations, statements, and reasoning regarding secret expenses made by the foundation, misappropriation of public funds, failure to reflect amounts in relevant financial reports, and violations of applicable legal requirements," Avetikyann said.

The Executive Director of the Soldiers' Insurance Foundation also noted that the Foundation's financial reports have been audited by the reputable international independent auditing organization Ernst and Young, which has concluded that the financial reports published by the foundation reflect the actual situation.

On June 17, during a Q&A session with the government in the National Assembly, independent MP Tigran Urikhanyan stated that the Soldiers' Insurance Foundation has sued him for saying, "obligations amounting to 1.9 billion drams have not been fulfilled," and is demanding that he retract that statement.
