In Armenia, not only the act of giving bribes is subject to criminal prosecution, but also the act of receiving them. This was reminded by LHK MP Ani Samsonyan during a session in the National Assembly, as she questioned the Prosecutor General about whether people who received bribes have been held accountable.
Davtyan noted that there have not yet been any individuals held accountable, but there will be. He explained that the legislation provides for such a process. However, according to the prosecutor, from a public danger perspective, organizing election bribery is considered a more dangerous act.
