The News About the Search of Zohrabyan's Office Does Not Correspond to Reality: Kostanyan

Assistant to the Speaker of the National Assembly Vahan Kostanyan has issued a statement in response to an assertion made by opposition MP Naira Zohrabyan.

“Naira Zohrabyan’s claim that representatives of the Investigative Committee are preparing to conduct a search in her National Assembly office does not correspond to reality. Our partners from the Investigative Committee will soon provide additional clarifications,” wrote Vahan Kostanyan.

Earlier, Naira Zohrabyan announced on her Facebook page that her National Assembly office was being searched.

“I just received a call from the Central Investigation Department, from an investigator—I apologize, I don’t remember the name—who said that he is currently in front of my office in the National Assembly and has a decision to conduct a search in my office. I stated that I am still at home and need some time to reach the National Assembly, to which he responded that if the door is not opened shortly, they would be forced to break it down. Now I am hurrying to the Assembly,” she wrote.
