European countries are continuing to ease restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus. According to BBC reports, England is reopening non-food retail stores, France is reopening its borders with other EU member states, and Spain is tentatively welcoming its first tourists from Germany.
As part of this initiative, Spain will accept 11,000 tourists from Germany, primarily for two-week holiday trips. Authorities aim to understand how tourism organizations are adapting to the new rules and restrictions.
Spain plans to fully open its borders to tourists starting July 1.
