Natalia Oreiro Applies for Russian Citizenship

Actress and singer Natalia Oreiro has applied for Russian citizenship. She disclosed this during an interview, as reported by TASS.

The actress noted that her fans often present her with Russian-themed souvenirs in the form of passports. However, she expressed her strong desire to obtain real Russian citizenship.

According to Oreiro, the proposal to acquire a Russian passport came from the Russian ambassador in Argentina. "I said that it would be an honor for me. Thus, at their request, I filled out several documents, and the passport matter is currently in progress," Oreiro stated.
