20 and 21-Year-Old Men Hospitalized in Critical Condition After Stabbing in Yerevan
On June 15, a stabbing incident occurred in Yerevan. At around 02:40, the Astghik Medical Center notified the Mashtots Police Department that two individuals were admitted with "stab wounds to the abdominal area." This was reported by shamshyan.com.
The police operational group, led by the head of the Mashtots Police Department, Andranik Shahbazyan, and the deputy head of operational investigations, Arkadi Sahakyan, was dispatched to the hospital.
The injured have been identified as 20-year-old Razmik Mardanyan from Ararat Province and 21-year-old Tovmas Hovhannisyan from Yerevan. Medical staff informed the police that the individuals are unable to provide explanations regarding the incident, as they are currently in the intensive care unit.
An investigation is underway at the Mashtots Police Department to prepare case materials. The police are undertaking necessary operational-investigative measures to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to identify the person or persons responsible for the crime, as well as any weapons or tools used.
According to sources, the stabbings took place on Lenin Street in Yerevan.
