David Khajakyan on the Purchase of Beeline by the Esayan Brothers

David Khajakyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council from the 'Luminous' faction, wrote on his Facebook page:

Recently, we learned that the newly established 'Team' LLC has begun negotiations with 'Veon Armenia' regarding the potential acquisition of the Beeline brand. The initiative, launched by Haik and Alexander Esayan, who left Ucom, is currently under review by the Competition Protection Commission (CPC).

According to various estimates, the possible price of the deal from 'Team' LLC for the 'Veon Armenia' transaction is $60,000,000, and if there is an advance payment for the initiation of the process, then there is also the corresponding sum or expectation of its receipt.

Considering that this is about reallocations in the telecommunications sector, I believe maximum transparency should be ensured and the public should know what means will be used for this transaction. If it is a loan, then on what collateral or what guarantee would the commercial bank provide these funds to a newly established organization, which, although it has a good reputation, does not possess such resources in the context of its volumes based on naked estimates.

Taking into account the strategic nature of the issue, I call on the media and law enforcement to pay attention to this process, and I expect clarification from 'Team' regarding its financial sources and the basis on which or what collateral 'Team' LLC is receiving financing.
