Changes Made to Export and Import Restrictions on Certain Goods with Iran
According to the decision of the commander Tigran Avinyan, changes have been made to the export and import restrictions on certain goods with Iran.
The second and third points of the decision made on April 3 have been declared invalid.
The mentioned points stipulated:
“... 2. Acknowledgment that the transportation (export, import, transit) of all types of goods between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia is carried out considering the 'Meghri' checkpoint's clearance possibilities and the quantities and characteristics of the goods being transported.”
“... 3. The transportation (export, import, transit) of all types of goods between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia is carried out in the following ways: a) Goods subject to transshipment are transshipped either within the area of the Meghri checkpoint or in the customs control area of the 'Agarak Terminal' limited liability company, b) The transportation of goods not subject to transshipment is permitted with the written consent of the State Revenue Committee, and the movement through the territory of the Republic of Armenia and the return of the vehicle to the Islamic Republic of Iran after unloading is coordinated and monitored by the police of the Republic of Armenia, considering the guidelines and recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.”
