3400 Bitcoins, a Gifted House, and a Purchased Car: Haik Sargsyan's Wealth

Member of the 'My Step' faction Haik Sargsyan has presented his annual declaration for 2019. This was reported by Tert.am, citing the Corruption Prevention Commission.

According to the declaration, Sargsyan received a house in Arabkir as a gift in 2019; however, it does not specify from whom he received it. He declared a 2005 Mercedes-Benz, which he acquired in 2017, and in 2019 he purchased a 2013 Lexus for $19,800.

He declared a total of 4 million drams in his bank accounts, and at the beginning of the year, he acquired 2300 bitcoins. By the end of the year, he had 3400 bitcoins, which are worth over $32 million. As for cash, he declared 24 million drams and $55,000, while no salary for his work was mentioned.

It should be noted that attempts to get comments from Haik Sargsyan regarding his declaration were unsuccessful, as the lawmaker did not respond to phone calls.
