WHO Ready to Fully Support Armenia in Fight Against Pandemic
Armenian Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan held a video conference with Hans Kluge, the director of the World Health Organization (WHO) European Office. According to the Armenian Ministry of Health, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation efforts and the possibilities for collaboration in combating the coronavirus outbreak, which has become a pressing issue in recent months.
Arsen Torosyan presented the current situation regarding the COVID-19 disease in Armenia, the actions taken and ongoing efforts, and provided information on planned activities. The conversation covered a wide range of topics of mutual interest, from behavioral change management to specialized technical questions.
Hans Kluge reiterated the organization’s willingness to support our country’s efforts with its full resources and toolkit, which will help address all issues related to the pandemic. “It should be noted that the WHO is an important international partner in the healthcare sector and serves as a primary global platform for the exchange of professional and urgent information, advice, and recommendations,” the statement said.
