We Have an Exceptional Number of Recovered Patients: Pashinyan
The coronavirus pandemic indicators are showing initial signs of stabilization again. This was noted by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press briefing following a meeting of the commandant’s office, adding that it is not yet possible to say definitively that the situation has stabilized.
“But there are signs. The stabilization is occurring at a very high level; yesterday we had 428 new cases, but I also want to emphasize that thanks to our efforts, this stabilization at a high level is becoming manageable for our healthcare system. Essentially, the issue of people needing hospitalization is decreasing more each day. If we can maintain this trend, we will solve the hospitalization problem in full and move on to the phase of overcoming the coronavirus pandemic, or rather, the phase of its eradication,” said the Prime Minister.
He noted that it is evident that today most citizens of Armenia are wearing masks and adhering to the rules. “But we still do not have the desired results. Earlier today, up to 15:00, the police have fined 1,800 citizens for not wearing masks. I mention this number with regret since our goal is not to impose fines. Yesterday we had an exceptional indicator with 775 recoveries. We have recorded a certain decrease in active cases. Unfortunately, we also have 10 deaths, along with three more deaths from other diseases,” said the Prime Minister.
