Victims of Psychology Do Not Achieve Success: Ani Samsonyan
On May 8, during a session in the National Assembly, when the authorities subjected the opposition to physical violence, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan pointed out in his concluding speech that the authorities are subject to psychological violence. Ani Samsonyan, a member of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction of the National Assembly, wrote about this on her Facebook page.
She specifically noted: 'Setting aside the disgraceful reality that the authority, being responsible for the country, can be so weak and incapable as to be subject to psychological violence, let us talk about their aspirations to become “victims.” It is evident that the authorities have disrupted the real agenda for institutional and substantive reforms in the country. They have also exhausted their ideological and value-based resources, crossed the moral red lines, and revealed the double-edged weapons to personally annihilate people.'
'What we have witnessed in the political arena over the past few months can be characterized in two words: a crisis of authority. And they have found themselves in this situation not because of the people, the opposition, or any individuals. They have arrived at this predicament because of their incompetence and malice.'
'And in order to avoid discussing and criticizing the deepening crisis in the country resulting from their incompetence and malice, it is necessary to make enemies with everyone, create the impression that everyone has attacked them (shameless ‘blacks and traitors’), and become victims in order to evoke sympathy from the people.'
'The pandemic creates fertile ground, when the “authority saves lives,” while “evil” forces hinder it. But they fail to notice that they are constantly talking about the war against the pandemic while being busy with political mumbo-jumbo. They talk about morality but debate with their opponents using dirty methods. They discuss values that their behavior has long turned into a pile beneath their feet. They also often speak about the misinformation circulating regarding the coronavirus, but forget that they were the first to spread misinformation.'
Dear authorities, stop pretending to be victims. Know that there is no expectation from you and there will not be. Without hysteria, manage the chaotic pandemic situation in the country and be ready to be called to account for its consequences. I repeat, without hysteria.
P.S. Victims of psychology do not achieve success.'
