Appointment of Argishti Kyaramyan as Director of NSS is a Threat to National Security: Arthur Vanetsyan
The appointment of Argishti Kyaramyan as the Director of the National Security Service (NSS) is indeed a threat to national security. This was stated by Arthur Vanetsyan, the chairman of the "Homeland" party, during an interview on the "Country Issues" program of "Yerevan Media".
“Having no personal issue with Argishti Kyaramyan, I would like to provide an assessment of this appointment. Appointing Argishti Kyaramyan as the Director of the NSS poses a threat to national security. This is because a person who lacks experience in management and working in security agencies will have access to a significant amount of information and will need to make quick and operational decisions on various matters. The NSS is not only about combating economic and corruption-related crimes. The service faces much more serious issues, such as intelligence and counterintelligence, and for that, one needs extensive professional experience and skills,” said Arthur Vanetsyan.
